“Creativity is simply connecting new
dots in new ways”- Sam Horn
In this age of technology, art is of paramount importance. A
student who grows up with an artistic sensibility sees the world from a
different perspective. This sensibility moulds his behaviour, his interpersonal
communication, and his actions. Our school DAV Police Public School, Panipat
always shoulders the responsibility of facilitating our tiny artists to excel
in the same field. An Inter School Painting Competition was organised on
October 16, 2019 under Hubs of Learning(a CBSE Project ), with an innate desire
to transform aesthetic potential of children into visual art. To be creative
means to be in love with life and enhance its beauty. An overwhelming response
from all over Panipat was observed in a collective consonance. In this
competition, Apollo International School, Prayag International School, St.
Xavier’s High School, and Panipat International
School Israna participated with gusto and zeal. The competition was divided
into four groups. The main topic for the competition was ‘Any Festival’. We believe that art encompasses
values, ideas, and helps enlighten one with what the imagination is capable of
without minimizing thought and the power of creation. Transformation of
aesthetic ability into visual expression by the budding artists weaving brush
strokes of poetry was the main aim of this endeavour. The main thrust was
towards stirring the imagination and providing a pedestal for innovative,
exploration and aesthetic. The young participants spun magic which pulled the
strings in the heart, mind, and soul of the audience unleashing the forces
within. They gave vent to their imagination. Everyone was spell bound to see
the budding artists equipped with colours and brushes merging the colours
enthusiastically and animatedly mesmerizing the audience. The winners from each
group were honoured with Appreciation Certificates and Prizes by Pidlight . The
Art teachers from all the five schools judged the paintings made by the
students. The judges were also honoured with the paintings made by the sr.
students of our school as token of regard. Our Principal ma’am appreciated the
participation from various schools and provided an insight into successful
dimensions of Art. She also promised to facilitate the students with this kind
of opportunities in future also.
